Explore Corazón del Barrio’s programs!
From affordable workspaces and artist residencies to free community workshops and gallery exhibitions, CDB provides resources and opportunities for local artists and community members to create and learn.
1
Creative Neighbor
Corazón del Barrio is committed to supporting Tucson Artists by making its community Art Space available to the public. Corazon del Barrio’s communal art space is available for public use through its
Creative Neighbor membership program, and studio spaces are available through its Creative Resident program.
What is a CDB Creative Neighbor?
Creative Neighbors is a monthly workspace membership for Southern Arizona artists. For $60/month, accepted artists receive access to the CDB Community Art Space and equipment seven days a week from 7:00 AM–11:00 PM. Membership is awarded based on space availability, community fit, and artistic practice.
Members join a supportive, hands-on arts community of up to 20 artists, can participate in multiple open studios and pop-up vendor opportunities each year, and commit to a minimum of two community service hours per month to support the space.
2
Creative Resident
Corazon del Barrio’s Creative Resident Studio Program offers two Southern Arizona artists discounted 24-hour studio and workspace along with professional and creative development opportunities. Residents working in any medium receive 24-hour access to a private 196 sq. ft. studio (studio-only; not live/work) and use of CDB equipment and communal workspace.
Professional and emerging artists are encouraged to apply. Applicants are required to tour the space before they may enter into resident contracts of 3, 6, or 10 months. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis; selected artists will be placed on a waitlist and contacted when a residency opens.

Workshops
Corazon del Barrio is committed to providing the Tucson community with multiple free monthly workshops. Corazon del Barrio accepts proposals for workshops, and welcomes a variety of offerings and topics, first time facilitators are encouraged to apply.
Selected workshops will be co-hosted and promoted by Corazon del Barrio and facilitators will receive a modest stipend for their labor. Workshops must align with Corazon del Barrio’s work and mission, examples include art-making, financial literacy, wellness etc.
Facilitators not interested in cohosting and interested in offering ticketed workshops are welcome to rent CDB space, more information coming soon!

Exhibition Proposals
Corazon del Barrio welcomes applications for exhibitions in our Gallery Space from Arizona-based non-profits, curators, collectives, and individual artists.
CDB’s goals are to create exhibition opportunities for emerging artists from culturally diverse backgrounds and to uplift local artists, culture bearers, and neighborhood voices through accessible programming, exhibitions, and gatherings.
Solo or group 1-month long exhibitions are accepted (plus 1 week install and 1 week de‑install). Applicants are strongly encouraged to visit the gallery and review CDB’s past and current programs and mission before applying.
CDB is seeking proposals for exhibitions in late–mid 2027. Accepted proposals will be placed on a roster and scheduled as openings become available.
